Thematic Area
Shrushti believes education and child protection are deeply interconnected. Education is pivotal right for development of girls and boys and child protection is a condition to guarantee their wellbeing. Shrushti focuses on intersection of the education and child protection and support holistic programs that help children and youth reach their full potential.
Children from Underprivileged communities and families lag at all stages of education, when earning livelihood to ensure food, cloth & shelter becomes primary matter of concern, education very often ignored and if not then has very little chance to stand for pursuance.
Shrushti explores and exploits opportunities of bringing children to the mainstream by educating them. So far through various education-based interventions, we have made an impact in the life of over 55,000 tribal children and bring back over 16,000 children in mainstreamed education, especially girls. Currently, we are running programs on Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), Science popularization among tribal children, and Child Protection, especially around Child Sexual Abuse, Child Trafficking & Child Labour
