The Infrastructure for Climate Resilient Program (ICRG) addresses India`s climate change challenges affecting its agriculture-dependent workforce. Launched by the UNDP in collaboration with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, with financial support from the UKs FCDO, ICRG integrates climate-smart initiatives into the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). In Udaipurs Mavli Block, Shrushti implemented an ICRG project from April 2022 to April 2023 across eight villages. Objectives include strengthening local capacities for MGNREGS asset implementation, enhancing technical support, improving infrastructure quality, and generating climate-resilient livelihood evidence. Strategies involve capacity building, Climate Community Managers, NREGA laborer training, and community engagement, with a focus on collaboration with local structures for sustainable climate resilience.
